That eureka moment when you suddenly realise the solution you’ve been looking for is the perfect blend of creativity and technology is immensely fulfilling, and is what drives our team to create unique digital solutions. Sometimes these go no further than demonstration pieces, using creative technology to inspire and delight. On other occasions these may become stand-alone products or tools that enhance productivity and support business development.
Over the years we’ve demonstrated so many different technologies that we could write a history of digital marketing technologies. From early animated GIFs through to Holographic gigs, we’ve been involved in an amazing array of creative technologies for the best part of two decades.
What We Do
In our digital innovations lab more recently we’ve been playing with a range of cutting edge technology relevant to our ever expanding digital reality and virtual world beyond!
Multiply has extensive experience in delivering Virtual Reality for brand marketing clients. Having developed virtual stores for a range of clients clearly demonstrating how point of sale and packaging design will impact in situ, without having had the expense of producing physical mock-ups in physical store aisles, has provided an unbeatable visualisation tool.
From virtual house tours, to fully navigable supermarkets, to 360 degree VR Video, our team of creative technologists have tested and deployed virtual reality to mobile and fixed devices.
If you'd like to experience some of our Virtual environments in person, please get in touch.
With the development of augmented reality headsets from the likes of Microsoft and MagicLeap poised to deliver a new wave of superior mixed reality experiences there can be no doubt that AR is a technology to watch.
Multiply has been involved in augmented reality since 2014, creating an AR in-store experience for Huggies. Our tech lab has equally been investigating smartphone app based AR with several exciting creative and technical demo’s undertaken to demonstrate proof-of-concept for future projects.
It is widely assumed that AR will develop into a more active market than VR and the practical, as well as fun, solutions that are possible leaves us in no doubt this is an area we are going to be busier in.
As a natural evolution from our experience creating motion graphics for a multitude of clients for the last decade, projection mapping onto large public 3D objects was a natural extension.
Our recent work for Caledonia Best projecting onto The Murrayfield Hotel supporting their rugby sponsorship included custom projections dependent on match outcomes.
The illusion of holographic projection has come on in leaps and bounds over the last decade with ultra-high def projection capabilities delivering astoundingly detailed characters that have been seen anywhere from Gorillaz live gigs through to product launch presentations. And the technology is ever changing!
Multiply’s involvement in holographic projection has a long history including our involvement in staging holographic gigs in shopping malls for Orange through to more current developments with Augmented Reality holographic overlays. It’s only a matter of time until our R2D2 droid starts projecting holographic help messages.
Prize Draw System
Multiply’s Magic Moments System has been deployed across a multitude of online promotions for brands including Highland Spring, Tennent’s and Seriously Strong Cheddar.
At its heart the “Magic Moments” system is a simple solution to managing online prize draws, eliminating the need for custom code printing on product packaging, although this can equally work with custom codes. The system allows for completely random deployment of prizes throughout the lifecycle of any promotion.
The use of Flash to deploy video for several years lead to some incredibly creative options for interacting with video footage, allowing customised video sequences to be generated on the fly. The “death” of Flash presented an equally challenging situation to creative online video manipulation.
Faced with this Multiply developed a server based solution for delivering customised video. This allows for pre-created videos to be sequenced and for branding, or similar, to be overlaid.
Is the book always better than the film? Well not necessarily when you use a screenbook to include the film along with the book!
Multiply’s custom created Screenbooks have an integrated 5” screen, allowing playback of up to four videos with a potential running time of 40 minutes.
Stereoscopic 3D technology still dominates Hollywood’s tentpole feature films and is a core technology that drives Virtual Reality in delivering three dimensional experiences that feel “real”.
Our experience in 3D has seen us delivering 3D store walkthroughs and branded promotional films using cutting edge stereoscopic camera and animation systems. This content is generated in suitable formats for screening on 3D cinema or 3D TV screens.
