Contract: Permanent (post 3-month probation)
Salary: £28,000 – £34,000 per annum + benefits (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025 (flexible based on notice periods)
Location: Hybrid – Edinburgh (3 days studio / 2 days WFH)
Role Overview
We’re on the lookout for a creative and technically skilled Motion Creative to join our studio team. This role is all about bringing ideas to life through motion – delivering visually compelling content across digital, social and campaign activations.
Working closely with the Creative Director, Design Lead, and Senior Art Director, you’ll play a key part in the production of standout video content that lives across platforms – from social reels and hype edits to campaign films and website motion.
This is a role for someone with flair and focus: you’ll need to think strategically, storyboard ideas, and deliver high-quality motion output that answers the brief and aligns with our creative standards.
Key Responsibilities
Motion & Digital Delivery - create high-quality motion graphics and animated content for social, web, and campaign use. Translate concepts into visual storyboards that align with campaign strategy and tone.
Creative Collaboration - work closely with the Creative Director, Design Lead, and Senior Art Director to execute projects that meet creative and strategic objectives. Contribute to pitches and ideation sessions with energy and a proactive mindset. Take on independent tasks while collaborating effectively within the creative team.
Conceptual & Strategic Thinking - understand the role of each asset within broader campaign ecosystems. Help bring clarity to complex briefs and shape work that's both beautiful and purposeful.
Process & Craft - ensure motion and design outputs are polished, on-brand, and aligned with client goals. Manage your time across 2-3 live projects at once while maintaining high standards. Contribute to best-practice workflows for motion and digital creative production.
Creative Influence - act as a positive presence within the studio helping set the tone for collaboration, pace, and quality. Offer informal support and inspiration to junior creatives, helping to elevate team thinking.
Qualifications
- Strong background in motion design, animation, or digital-first creative roles, with a portfolio that shows versatility and taste.
- Proficiency across After Effects, Adobe XD or Figma, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Bonus Skills: 3D capabilities, AI workflows, video capture.
- Confident understanding of social platforms and digital content environments.
